Kono Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Wine, how I love thee – Let me count the ways.

I love how you make me feel better after a long day at work.

The list goes like this :

1. Indy’s smile
2. Husbands Kiss
3. Kick butt bottle of white

I love how you make Four Weddings & Say Yes to the Dress a fabulous Friday night.

I love your bottle? I love wine bottles, I love the cork – at least I think I do because I have saved at least one thousand of them!

I also love Trader Joe’s. Joe hooks me up with cheap wonders. So I have one for you!

KONO Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough 2010

A blend of fruits from the Awatere, Waihopai, and Lower Wairau Valleys gives this Sauvignon Blanc the classic Marlborough fruit burst with great palate weight and a clean, acid finish.

This wine is available at Trader Joe's for $7.99

Try it this weekend! It gets a standing ovation from me and two somersaults from my daughter…that means it is super good.

Have a "smashing" weekend.

  4. I wish I could find this wine here... Collecting corks, my boyfriend always wants to keep them, but I throw them away (we have enough mess)! ;-P

  6. Thanks for the tip. Don't you just love Joe and his fab wine?! My fave right now at TJ's is Vivace pinot grigio in the Italian section. It's light and sparkling and delicious. And around $4.95.
Also, I totally think you should open that dessert/wine bar! Brilliant! If you're ever in Los Olivos/Santa Ynez area you HAVE to visit Saarloos tasting room/cupcakery - you would love it!

  7. No Trader Joe's here but I'll try to find something similar. I'm looking forward to chilling out and wine (even though I've got work to do).

  8. Wow--two somersaults from your daughter...she must really love it. I was more of a Merlot girl at her age myself:)

  9. I love my wine with Amazing Race & Ghost Hunters. ;)

The very first time I went wine tasting I fell in love with the Sauvignon Blanc they served. Since then I have really fallen for the Soft Red by Ste. Chapelle, its roughly the same price as the wine you mentioned here. Whats even neater is that is a local wine (yay!) however, I do wish we had a Trader Joes here so I could check out there selection!

This one will have to go on my list since it sounds fantastic with the warm weather we've been having!
