Toddlers & Tiaras...umm,,,, I mean Tattoos

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
If you don’t check in on your toddler
This is what she'll do

I peeked around the corner
And to my surprise
My girl had tatted herself
All over her thighs

With black pen she scribbled
From her head to her toe
Making many a mural
Channeling Van Gogh

Then she flashed a smile
And I laughed so hard
Today she scribbles with pen on her legs
In a few years she’ll be stealing my bank card

PS – 3 baths later and it is still there…
PPS – OK now 4 baths *update*

  6. That last photo is stunningly beautiful. And actually I think I prefer Indigo's tattoos to the temporary tattoos my 3 year old has been asking for lately...

  8. My girl did that too.
I used alcohol swabs (for cleaning wounds) to clean it and it came off right away.

  10. Too funny! Maybe this is Indigo's way of politely saying she'd like a nose ring? :)

  24. Oh my goodness. You always crack me up :) Enjoy these little kid moments. They are so sweet, unless of course you find they've used that pen/marker on the wall...

Ps- I added a link up portion to These Chicks Cooked Recipe Spotlight. I'd love for you to stop by and share one of your recipes if you feel like it. Have a good one.

  25. Too cute! I'm sure that wasn't what you thought when you first happened on the scene, though.

  26. After my daughter decorated her tongue with marker, I put markers on parental guidance only. You are so much better spirited about than I was. I said, A-l-e-x-a (with much emphasis), I can not believe you did that. All I could think of was what toxic things did she ingest. That last photo of your daughter simply stops my heart from beating. So cute. I took lots of close ups of my children's faces and toes. I love all your pictures girl.
