Recovery, this is what I am doing this Monday! ha. I had a fine Labor Day weekend, you?
This recipe is borrowed from a friend and is quite tasty!
Try it as a dip with some Trader Joe's Gorgonzola Crackers or enjoy it along side a nice steak.
INGREDIENTS4-5 Large Yams, skinned and diced
1 block of cream cheese
3 tbs of butter
1 tsp Curry Powder
DIRECTIONSBoil diced Yams until you can poke through with a fork, drain and mash. Next add in the cream cheese, butter, and curry powder. Mash well and enjoy!
Alright...Off to get another cup of coffee...and a few advils.

Cheers,

Oh how I love yams! I think I want this, those crackers you mentioned, a nice chilled glass of white something or other, and an afternoon in control of the remote!
I love sweet potatoes! A very flavourful combination.
That looks tempting n I don't even like yams..gotta try this!!

I think that cream cheese is good in almost everything! This sounds wonderful! Thanks!
I'll have to try this. I'm not a huge sweet potato fan. Maybe you can change my mind.
Plan B
Mix the advil into the yams. Best of both worlds.
um, if that is not the easiest recipe ever, i don't know what is. cream cheese in anything is pretty much my favorite. nice work!
What a precious little presentation! If I was a toddler, I would totally want to eat my vegetables. Thanks for sharing another simple, delicious vegetable.
Wow! Really interesting and delicious looking. Sounds delish:)
I like the idea of sweet and spicy!
This sounds like a wonderful recipe. The potatoes would be wonderful with a pork roast. I really like the way this recipe sounds. I hope you are having a great day. Blessings...Mary
i love curried anything, i have to admit. btw, i just accidentally deleted a comment you put on my blog about the chocolate cookies -- sorry about that. i hate when that happens!
This looks delicious!!! But you see, I have a problem with Trader Joe's gorgonzola crackers - I can't stop eating them. hehe
This looks so creamy and healthy, yams are so good for you! It is definitely a good way to recover after a labor day weekend filled with fun. :)
I'm grateful for the day a friend of mine had introduced me to sweet potatoes...luv em!!!
Never used it with curry...will try ;O)
Flavourful wishes,
Claudia
